Archie Boe, 87, of Ottawa, passed on to his heavenly reward Monday, May 5, 2025, with his loving family at his side.
Archie was born November 4, 1937, in Ottawa, IL, the youngest son of Tyler and Margaret (Osthus) Boe. He married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Jenkins, November 18, 1956, also in Ottawa. Pat preceded him in death October 2, 2022. Surviving are his children: Gail (Darwin) Garde of Huntington, IN; Susan (Jim) Corle of North Fort Myers, FL; and Scott (Cheryl) Boe of Marseilles, IL. He also leaves grandchildren: Amanda (Nate) Hamblin, Nicole (Troy) Supple, Austin (Destinee) Garde, Bonnie (Brandon) Cecil, Cory Boe, and Lexi Boe; and great grandchildren: Eli and Oliver Hamblin; Madison and Braylen Supple; Titus, Adalyn and Charlie Garde; Blake Cecil; and a sister, Marjorie Boe of Ottawa. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Craig Arthur Boe; and brothers Harold, John, and Bernard Boe.
Archie was a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He was a devoted Christian and faithful member of Crossbridge Community Church with an energetic, outgoing personality. Upon retiring as a plant manager for Stockdale Fertilizer Company in 2000, he enjoyed talking to nearly everyone, playing golf with his buddies, and working in his yard. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his family and many friends.
Visitation will begin at 11 am Saturday May 10th at Crossbridge Community Church, 4161 Columbus Street, in Ottawa, IL with funeral services at 1:00 pm. Pastor Ron Jewett will officiate. Interment will follow at Oakwood Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Gary, Brad, and Todd Boe; Greg and Grant Jenkins; and Frank Orsini. Kent Boe will be an honorary pallbearer. Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
