Brian Hayes

Brian K. Hayes, 67, of Ottawa passed away on February 2, 2025, at OSF St. Elizabeth.

Brian was born in Ottawa on February 26, 1957, the son of Kenneth L. and Stella (Cox) Hayes. He attended Serena schools and went on to work at the Ottawa Hospital in housekeeping and later in receiving. After his time at the hospital, he went on to work for the Ottawa Times until his retirement. Brian liked to fish and was a Chicago Cubs fan. He also loved his family and cherished his time spent with them.

Brian is survived by his children, Patrick and Mary Hayes; brothers, Michael (Shirley) Cox, and Kenneth E. Hayes. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Wanda Hayes and Brenda Yott.
