Edward Lee Martin, 57, of Marseilles, passed away Friday, May 2nd with his family and loved ones at his side.
Ed was born August 27, 1967 in Peoria, Illinois to Joseph Lee and Edith Kay (Daugherty) Martin. He married Pamela Baughman December 3, 1985 and was blessed with a son, Danny Martin. Surviving is his son, Danny (Brittany) Martin of Sparland, IL. He also leaves a step-daughter, Victoria (fiancé Richard Ryan) Baughman of Peoria; his grandson, Silas Martin; step grandchildren Dylan Lloyd, Abby Lloyd and Ciera Moore. Also surviving are his sister, Kim Martin of Peoria and his loving partner, June Davis of Marseilles; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Michael and Richard Martin.
Ed was a member of St. Columba Church in Ottawa. He was employed by Mediacom at Henry, Illinois and also owned and operated Ed Martin Sealcoating for many years. Ed enjoyed music and would often entertain friends and family on his guitar. He had a love for dogs and cats and would care for any that needed a home or assistance. Ed dearly loved his family and considered his grandson Silas his "pride and joy." His love and devotion for June will always be remembered and treasured.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Friday, May 9th at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home in Ottawa with Fr. Mike Driscoll officiating. Visitation from 9:30 to time of service. Burial will be in Sparland Cemetery, Sparland, Illinois.
