Harvey L. Clemens, 75, of Ottawa, passed away on July 22, 2026.

Visitation will be from 11am to 12:30 pm on Saturday, August 8, at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow with Reverend Seamus Enright officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post 33 Honor Guard.

Harvey was born on December 16, 1950, in Ottawa, the son of Harold Sr. and Margaret Dorothy (Wilcox) Clemens. Harvey graduated from Ottawa High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Army. He married Emma June McDonald on August 19, 1983, at Deer Park Church. Harvey "Trooper Harv" worked as a journeyman electrician with IBEW 176 out of Joliet from which he proudly retired. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, tinkering in his garage, and working on his boat. He enjoyed nature and the outdoors and spent some time as a park ranger at Catlin Park. Harvey had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. Harvey was a proud member of the Ottawa American Legion Post 33. He was a member of the Honor Guard and devoted himself to countless funeral honors, community events, and patriotic events for many years. Harvey's greatest pride was his family. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids making up games and projects for them to work on with him. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Harvey is survived by his loving wife, Emma June; daughters, Jodi (Rene Correa) Triggs, and Jennifer Sweborg; brothers, Bill and Howard Clemens; and grandchildren, Jaiden Triggs, Ben Sweborg, Ella Triggs; Tyler Triggs, and Mia Sweborg. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Harold Clemens Jr., and a sister Carol Clemens.
