Jeff Henry Fuqua, age 72, of Ottawa, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2026 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa.

Jeff was born April 23, 1954 in Illinois to Ralph and Glenna (Malloy) Fuqua. He is survived by a daughter, Emily (David Bentley) Fuqua of Oakwood, IL; a son, Jeffrey Fuqua of Watseka, IL; and a brother Dale Fuqua of Oklahoma. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Oscar Fuqua.

Jeff was an educated man with a master's degree in social work. He loved nature and was never one to live in one place for an extended period of time.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
