JoAnn F. Underhill

JoAnn F. Underhill, 85, of Ottawa, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Goldwater Care Marseilles.

Per JoAnn's wishes, there will be no services or visitation.

JoAnn was born May 22, 1939 in Ottawa, Illinois to Joseph and Ann Amanda (Olson) Fox. She married Gerald "Jerry" Underhill October 3, 1981 at St. Columba Church in Ottawa. Jerry preceded in death April 14, 2010. JoAnn is survived by her sons, Jeffery (Sue) McMichael of Marseilles and Phil McMichael of Ottawa; step-sons, Ron Underhill of Ottawa, John Underhill of Rockford and Robert (Lynn) Underhill of Seneca. She also leaves nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Joseph Fox and a sister, Dorthy Prunty.

JoAnn was a member of First United Methodist Church in Ottawa and retired from Wedron Silica. She was a former member of the Ottawa Moose Lodge. Known to be a great cook, JoAnn enjoyed baking as well as freezing and canning various food items. She also loved spending time in her garden. JoAnn will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.
