Johnny "John" R. Martin

Johnny "John" Martin, 64, of Ottawa, passed away on October 14, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa.

Funeral Services will be on Wednesday. October 22 at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in Marseilles, with Pastor Bill Clark officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday October 21 from 4-7 p.m. at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home.

John was born on April 9, 1961, in Campbellsville, Kentucky, the son of Carlos and Margaret "Sue" (Stapleton) Martin. He married the love of his life, Patty Mann, on September 9, 1989, in Ottawa. John was a proud pipefitter with the Local 597 from which he retired. He had a love of eagles and enjoyed seeing them in the area. John enjoyed watching and playing sports and was always there to cheer on his nieces and nephews in their sports. John was a devoted friend and family man and will be dearly missed.

John is survived hy his wife, Patty; his mother, Margaret "Sue"; sisters, Karen (Wendy) Martin, and Connie Martin; his in laws, Glenn (Janet) Mann; brothers in law, Glenn (Mary) Mann and Jeff (Carol) Mann; sisters in law, Chris (Brent) Torres and Barb Solberg, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Carlos Martin; brother in law, Scott Solberg; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
