Joseph P. Veith

Joseph P. Veith, age 65, of Streator, passed away Monday, November 25, 2019 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Ottawa.

Funeral services will be held 6:00 p.m. Saturday, November 30th at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home in Ottawa with Rev. Gary Caster officiating.  Following cremation, interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Ottawa.  Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday.  Honorary pallbearers will be Tony and Ryan Rhodes, Jason and Dan Shallhorn, David Lee and William Coates.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a date to be announced.

Joseph was born August 26, 1954 in Ottawa, a son of William and Florence (Aubry) Veith.  He married Sharon Coates September 22, 2001 at St. Anthony’s Church in Streator.  He is survived by his wife, Sharon; step-children, Tony (Tracy) Rhodes of Ladd, IL and Kimberly (Joseph) Paradis of Maryland.  He also leaves a brother, William (Shirley) Veith of Ottawa; sisters, Judith Dougherty and Jane (Don) Goetsch of Ottawa.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his former wife, Sherry Veith and a brother, Tim Veith.

Joseph was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church in Streator.  He enjoyed music, camping and was a show car enthusiast.
