Lance W. Valle

Lance W, Valle, 66, of Ottawa, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 14th at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home with Monsignor Mark Merdian officiating.  Interment will follow at St. Columba Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the funeral home.   Pallbearers will be Dave Miller, Bob Schiffbauer, Vaughn Torres, Chuck Bosi, Phil Marshall, Randy Bare, and Mike Davis.  Honorary pallbearers will be Sommer, Karleigh and Adelynn Davis.

Lance was born in Ottawa on September 27, 1957, the son of William and Augustina (Torres) Valle.He married Lori Kurtenbach in Peru, IL on December 1, 2006 and she preceded him in death on January 5, 2007.  Lance worked at LOF Glass factory and was a member of the Local 393 Laborers Union until his retirement on September 1, 2013.  In his younger years, Lance loved to go fishing and hunting.  He was a proud supporter of his beloved Chicago Bears and Blackhawks.  More than anything, Lance loved his family and cherished his time spent with them.

Lance is survived by his mother, Augustina Valle; children, Lance (Danielle) Valle Jr. and Amanda (Vince) Marez; grandchildren, Andrew, Maddisyn and Ryleigh Valle; great grandchild, Lily Valle; sisters, Debbie (Phil) Marshall, Valerie (Bob) Schiffbauer, Dana (Chuck) Bosi, and Veronica (Ron) Gochee; niece, Sommer (Mike) Davis; nephew, Ronald Gochee; great nieces, Kierston Gochee, and Karleigh and Adelyn Davis; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his father, William Valle and a great niece, Maecee Davis.
