Madonna R. Rodriguez

Madonna Rodriquez, 53, of Peoria, formerly of Ottawa, passed away on September 29, 2025.

Funeral services for Madonna will be on Tuesday, October 7, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Pastor Alex Cross officiating.

Madonna was born on November 4, 1971, in Ottawa, the daughter of Randall and Marian (Walker) Watland. She grew up in Ottawa and attended Ottawa schools. Madonna was known for her eclectic taste and her love of music. She was always excited about the holidays because she knew she was going to enjoy her mom's cooking. She loved her children and her family and always cherished her time spent with them and her friends. Madonna will be remembered by her infectious laugh and her kind heart.

Madonna is survived by her parents, Randall and Marian Watland; her children, Randi Watland and Vincent Ellias; brothers, Jacob Watland and Ron Carlson; sisters, Debi (Tom) Sachen and Jessica Watland; grandchildren, Rilei Blatnik and Faith Roark; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Walter and Eileen Watland and Leon and Madonna Walker, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
