OTTAWA - Martin "Poppy" Hanc, 87, of Ottawa, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2010. Memorial services will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Gladfelter Funeral Home with Russell Murphy officiating. There will be no visitation. Martin "Poppy" Hanc was born November 7, 1922 at Chicago, Illinois, a son of Michael and Katherine Hanc. He is survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Mr. Hanc was a retired employee of E. W. Kneip. A member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Mr. Hanc enjoyed fishing and gardening.
