Mary D. Cupples

Mary D. Cupples, age 103, of Ottawa, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the Ottawa Pavilion.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 16th at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Caster officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Oakwood Memorial Park at a later date.

Mary was born April 21, 1918 in Jamestown, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Peter and Stephania (Stephaniac) Dubach. She married Ralph Cupples August 3, 1939 at St. Mary’s Church in Naplate. He preceded in death August 5, 1973. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Roach of Troy Grove and Cynthia Cupples of Naplate; a brother, Emil Dubach of Ottawa; grandchildren, Patty (Jim) Hogan, Jim (Karen) Cupples, Jay Roach, Zach Cupples and Allison Borisek; nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jim and Jack Cupples; a daughter, Mary Jo Cupples; three brothers, John, Joe and Paul Dubach; and four sisters, Pauline Cervenic, Amelia Fielder, Rose Bailey and Fran Cappelini.

Mary had been a long-time member of St. Mary’s Church in Naplate. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be deeply missed by her loving family.
