Mary E. Posner

Mary E. Posner, age 85, of Marseilles, passed away Friday, December 12, 2008 at Pleasant View in Ottawa. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday at Gladfelter Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mary was born July 7, 1923 at Ottawa, a daughter of Thomas and Mattie Woodrow Hughes. She married Edward T. Posner who preceded her in death May 18, 1988. She is survived by two children, John Biagioni and Mary Ann Alford of Marseilles as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Broadus; four sisters, Ida Dilley, Loretta Neurhor, Mabel Hausmann and Ethel Schibrowsky; two brothers, Richard and Allen Higgins; three step sisters, Pauline Eckard, Jesse Bluth and Elvyra "Vi" Marrino; and a step-brother, Donny Higgins.
