Philip Trumbo

Philip Trumbo, 94, of Ottawa, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2026, with his family by his side.

Private services will be held with burial at Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home has been entrusted with his services.

Philip was born in Ottawa on May 20, 1932, the son of Franklin and Marguerite (Simmler) Trumbo. Philip graduated from Ottawa High School and went on to farm with his brother, Robert, for almost 70 years. Philip enjoyed collecting guns, fishing with old cane poles, and farming. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his niece and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Philip is survived by his brother, Robert Trumbo; nephews, Steve (Kathy) Trumbo, and John Trumbo; niece, Penny Fisher; and great nieces and nephews, Ryan Trumbo, Jessica Evans, Daniele Trumbo, Evan O'Shea, and Paige Stoiber. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Trumbo.
