Timothy E. Chaney, age 57, of Ottawa, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016 at his residence with his loving family at his side.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 21st at Pittstick Pavillion. Gladfelter Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Tim was born April 11, 1958, in Ottawa, a son of Charles “Chuck” and Genevieve “Pudge” (Welsh) Chaney. He married Sharon Rowlee May 1, 1981 in Ottawa. Surviving are his wife, Sharon; two sons, Charles (Kristy) Chaney of Streator and Michael (Nikki) Chaney of Naperville; grandchildren, Payton, Preston and Braydon. He also leaves a brother, Charles Chaney of Chicago; and sisters, Patty (Charles) Speno of Colorado, Cathy (Jim) Slechta and Rosemary (Paul) Schaibley all of Ottawa. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Steve Chaney.
Tim was a 1976 graduate of Ottawa Township High School. He retired from Carpenters Local 195. Tim enjoyed fishing, camping, canoeing and just spending time with his family and friends.
