OTTAWA – Virginia “Ginny” Paris, age 74, of Ottawa, passed away Monday, February 22, 2016 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 26, 2016 at Gladfelter Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Ginny was born March 21, 1941 in Chicago, the daughter of Orville and Charlotte (Fisher) Anderson. She married Ronald Paris June 20, 1958 in Westmont, Illinois. Surviving are her husband, Ronald, of Ottawa; her children, Rocco (Patti) Paris of Grand Ridge, Sheila Pridemore, and Niki (John) Riebe, both of Ottawa; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, Dennis and Ross Anderson, both of California; and three sisters, Dawn Finn of Downers Grove, Debbie Bormet of Bourbonnais, and Pamela Henley of Colorado. Ginny was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Wendy Budach.
Ginny was an avid reader and was the proof reader for a book written by Terry Savage. She was passionate about caring for her dogs, plants, and cooking excellent meals for her family. Ginny was a devoted mother and grandmother, cherishing her time spent with family. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Susan B. Komen Foundation or Pet Project.
