OTTAWA – William Mumper, Sr., age 88, of Ottawa, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 13th at Gladfelter Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
William was born January 2, 1929 in Ottawa, Illinois, a son of Albert and Viola (Dodge) Mumper. He is survived by his life partner, Alice Hermosillo; sons, William (JoAnn Hayman) Mumper, Jr., of Marseilles and Glenn Robert Mumper of Ottawa. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. William was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Mumper.
William was a retired employee of Pilkington. In his leisure time, he enjoyed making stained glass windows and lamps. He had a particular love for dogs. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a local animal shelter of the donor’s choice
