Barbara Ruth Giannoni

Barbara R. Giannoni, age 92, of Ottawa, formerly of Wedron, IL passed away January 10, 2023 at OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center.

Funeral services honoring her life will be held at noon Monday, January 16, 2023 at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home with Father Mike Driscoll officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Columba Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh, Jeremy, Cody, and Casey Kammerer, Matt Sharp and Kaiden Lemke. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service on Monday at the funeral home.

Barbara was born November 22, 1930 in Ottawa, Illinois, a daughter of Albert N. and Ruth Marie (Hermann) Beers. She married Theodore James “Ted” Giannoni on February 14, 1972 in Chicago. He preceded her in death on July 5, 2001. Surviving are her children, Theodore J. (Linda) Giannoni of Sandy, OR, Terry (Deborah) Giannoni of Lexington, IL, Henry Kammerer of Marion, IL, Larry (Carol) Kammerer of Altoona, FL, Allan (Joanne) Kammerer of Marseilles, IL, Peggy Ledbetter of Marion, IL and Linda Giannoni of New Douglas, IL. She also leaves twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Beers, and two sisters, Norma Ingram and Mary.

Barbara was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin, IL. An avid artist, Barbara had studied art at Oxford University in England, and had an art studio in Wedron. However, her main interest was her family. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
