Charles "Charlie" E. Harris, Jr.

Charles “Charlie” E. Harris Jr., age 68, of Ottawa, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Friday, November 25th at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home with Pastor Sherry Stevenson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service Friday.

Charlie was born June 15, 1954 in Ottawa, Illinois, a son of Charles and Louise (Haage) Harris, Sr. He married Beverly Nanouski October 28, 1972 in Ottawa. Charlie is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Beverly; his adoring daughter, Amy; and grandchildren, Addison (Jeremiah) Farrell and Nathan Herrera. He also leaves his mother, Louise Harris; a brother, Richard Harris; sister Nancy Kein; sister-in-law Pauline (Jon “Heavy” Maier) Vicich; many nieces and nephews; and “grand-puppy”, Camry. Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Charles Harris, Sr. and sisters Karen Ceja and Brenda Schunke.

Charlie was an avid lover of the great outdoors where he enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He was known to cheer for the Cubs and Packers! Above all, Charlie dearly loved and enjoyed time with his family, particularly his grandkids’ sporting events.
