Charles Hayson Obituary
Charles E. Hayson, age 80, of LaSalle, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Aperion Care in Spring Valley.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 22nd at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home with Pastor Sherry Stevenson officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Park with military honors by the Ottawa American Legion Post 33 Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to service time.
Charles was born August 28, 1941 in Ottawa, the son of James and Dorothy (Holloway) Hayson. He married Carol Miller on June 21, 1969 in Ottawa. Carol and his daughter Debra survive him. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jim and David Hayson, and his sisters, Donna Hayson, Geraldine Kurth, and Virginia Hite.
Charles proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He worked for Silica Sand for a short time before committing 35 years to Caterpillar. He attended First Church of the Nazarene in Ottawa for many years. Charles enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with his friends and family.
