Douglas Ricci

Douglas K. Ricci, 69, of Spring Valley, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2022 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Center in Peoria.

Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home has been entrusted with his care and cremation rites will be accorded.

Douglas was born on October 22, 1952.  He was the son of Kenneth and Wilma (Biggs) Ricci.  He married Pamela Fuller on November 5, 1972 at the Wedron Methodist Church.  She preceded him in death on December 24, 2017.  He is survived by his children, David (Jody) Ricci and Toni Morgan; a brother, Jeff Ricci; a grandson, Denton Ricci, and many cousins.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Ricci and his parents.

Douglas was an entertainer.  He was a musician by trade and naturally liked music and sharing his music with others.  He liked movies and would be known to set up a projector so that his family and friends could all enjoy.  He loved people and being around people.  He was a handy man and enjoyed fixing electronics.  Douglas also prided himself knowledge.  He once bought an encyclopedia set and read every book cover to cover.  Most of all, Douglas loved his family and his wife with whom he is now reunited with.  He most certainly will be missed by those he has left behind.
