Fredricka was born June 25, 1938 in Ottawa, Illinois, a daughter of William and Vera (Willet) Funk. She married the love of her life, James E. Budach on August 17, 1963 in Ottawa. He preceded her in death August 12, 2014. She is survived by her children, James M. (Amy) Budach of Ottawa and June Davis of Ottawa; grandchildren, Andrew (Kara) Davis, William Davis, Joel Davis, Alicia Budach, and Justin Budach; great grandchildren, Olivia, Matt and Alexander Davis.  Freddie also leaves a brother, William Funk of Ottawa; and sisters, Rosanne Wolfe of Tucson, AZ and Eileen "Egee" (Mike) Mason of Marseilles and brother-in-law, Mick Wolfe of Tucson, AZ.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Margaret Zinnani, and a grandson, Christian Davis.

Freddie attended St. Columba Catholic Church where she often served as a lector.  She was a 1956 graduate of Marquette High School and a graduate of Marycrest College in Davenport, IA.  She enjoyed a tenure of over 50 years at St. Mary's Hospital in Streator.  She was the first medical technologist hired and served in that capacity until the hospital closed.  She belonged to various social clubs and was a member of the U of I Home Extension of which she was a past president. She enjoyed playing piano in her younger years.  Freddie was good at leathercraft and enjoyed gardening.  She was particularly proud of her signature sloppy joe BBQ secret recipe that she made for the 4-H fair for several years.  Freddie loved her family dearly and will be truly missed.
