Joshua Cameron Obituary

Joshua A. Cameron, 39, of Streator, passed away on February 14, 2024 at OSF St. Francis in Peoria.

Private family services will be held at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home.

Joshua was born on November 13, 1984 in Ottawa. He was a graduate of Streator High School class of 2003, and graduated basic training in the army. Joshua was a lover of the outdoors. He liked to hunt, fish, trap, and go offroad riding, and he loved motorcycles. He enjoyed music and learned how to play guitar, and even taught himself how to play drums. Joshua was very artistic and loved to draw. He was also an avid collector of knives and was interested in learning to make his own.  He loved all of his kids dearly, and family and friends were his life. He was especially close to his best friends William Overocker and Joseph Scott Smith, and his paternal grandma Pam. No matter how Joshua felt, he always had the biggest, most contagious smile on his face.

Joshua is survived by his children, Heavyn, Joshua, Lyla and Thor; lifelong friends and brothers William Overocker and Joseph Scott Smith; sisters, Jennifer Evans, Emily Lopez, Juliann Rodriguez, and Megan Cameron; brothers, Jared, Jordan, and Greg Cameron; Uncle Joe (Cindi) Cameron- who were always there for him; his maternal grandma Darlene (Tim) Walker, Paternal grandpa Dennis Cameron, many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and father Greg (Kristin) Cameron.

He was preceded in death by his mom, Karrie Niemann; maternal grandpa Rick Niemann, maternal great uncle Rusty Niemann, maternal great grandparents Arnold and Grace Rasmussen, and paternal grandma, Pamela Cameron
