Karen J. Robey

Karen J. Robey, age 78, of Utica, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2021 with her loving husband by her side.

Memorial Mass will be Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Utica with Father Mike Driscoll celebrating.  Visitation will be Monday, May 3rd, at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m.

Karen was born August 27, 1942 in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and June (Carroll) Keller.  She married Donald Robey on September 16, 1961 at St. Mary’s Church in Dubuque.  She is survived by her husband Don; children, Brenda (Jim) Jason and Timothy (Cheryl) Robey; grandchildren, Samantha (Andrew) McKee, Joseph Robey, Daniel Robey and Kaylyn Jason; great-grandchildren Aria Niklas and Lillianna Jason.  She was preceded in death by a son, James Robey.

Karen was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Utica.  She had many careers in her lifetime which included, First of America Bank, Robey Insurance with her husband, Valley Cancer Center and finally Village Oak Haus with her husband.  She loved to garden and keeping a meticulous yard.  She enjoyed reading and baking cookies especially around the holidays.  She loved her family deeply and will be missed.
