Paula J. Schank

Paula J. Schank, age 70, of Marseilles, passed away Saturday January 7, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Per Paula’s wishes, there will be no funeral services and cremation rites will be accorded.  Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home has been entrusted with her care.

Paula was born May 3, 1952, the daughter of Ardell and Eleanor (Munson) Thomas in Ottawa, Illinois.  She was a graduate of Marseilles High School.  She married William “Billy” Schank at the Methodist Church in Ottawa in 1982.  Paula worked several jobs in her lifetime which were Nabisco, and Halterman Studios from which she retired.  Paula enjoyed baking, cooking, fishing, bowling, crafting and her dogs.  She loved her family very much and will be missed..

Paula is survived by her husband, William “Billy” Schank; mother, Eleanor Thomas; sister, Judy (Jerry) Cox; stepchildren, Kathleen (Dave) Mooneyham, Chris Schank, and Kirk (Trish) Schank; grandchildren, Steely Skolek, Chyla (Derek) Brown, and Baily (Nick) Norton and Blake Schank; great grandchildren, Hailee, D.J., Sloane, Harlow, and Milo; her nephews, Jerry and Jason Cox; and her doggy, Lucy.  She was preceded in death by her father, Ardell Thomas and a brother, Donnie Thomas.
