Ronald Atchley

Ronald Atchley, 79, of Streator, passed away on May 7, 2023 at his home.

Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 16th at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home with memorial services at 11:00 AM with Reverend Duane Kaufman officiating. Interment with Military Honors by the American Legion Post 217 Honor Guard will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Streator.

Ronald was born July 1, 1943, in Ottawa, the son of Walter and Marie (Turner) Atchley. He married Dorothy Munson on December 30, 1993 and she preceded him in death on May 28, 2002. He is survived by his sister, Dixie DeFoer; step-son, Donald Godfrey; step-daughter, Kathy Keller; a niece, Regina (Ron) Domkuski; great-nephews Sean and James Domkuski; and a step-granddaughter, Taylor Godfrey. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Don DeFoer.

Ronald proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Germany and did a tour in Vietnam. Ronald was employed by Carriage House until his retirement. He was a member of the Streator American Legion Post 217 and President of Deer Park Remote Control Flyers. Last year he had the fortune of participating in the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. Ronald will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
